Configuration management planning is one of the most important activities when undertaking any new project that employs the traditional approach to CM. The compilation of a CM Plan has traditionally been a contractual requirement and the CM Plan is a contractually deliverable document. It is not an easy task.

Course Objectives

The objective of this course is to provide direction in compiling a CM Plan in accordance with the general requirements contained in RSA-MIL-STD-189 and ISO 10007. By means of a case study, learners will be guided through the interpretation of project requirements and the process of tailoring CM practices to suit contractual requirements. Armed with theoretical training, the learners shall compile a CM Plan.

This is an advanced course and is not suitable for the beginner in CM.
